**A Thread on History, Myth, and a Historian's Quest**🧵

History isn't just about dates and events; it's about the stories we choose to tell. And sometimes, the most powerful lessons come from questioning the stories we've been taught.

Three thousand Brahmins suicide because Tipu wanted to convert to Islam.

"When I was doing some research on Tipu Sultan in Allahabad in 1928, some members of the Anglo Bengali College student came to me with their request to inaugurate their History Association. They brought direct books from the college .By the way, I opened my eyes on those history books Tipu Sultan chapter.

One sentence pushes me very well. That is: Tipu forcibly wanted to convert to Islam, three thousand Brahmins suicide.

The author of the textbook was Mahamahopadhyay, the head of Sanskrit at Calcutta University. Harprasad Shastri. I immediately said. I have given a letter to the Scriptures asking for his references.Take it Mysore gazetteer is not found in Allahabad, or in Kolkata's Isparial Library!

So Dr. I wrote to Sir Brajendranath Shil, the then Vice Chancellor of the Scriptures. Sir Brajendranath Shil sent my letter to Sri Kantia, who was busy performing a new version of Mysore Gazetter at that time. Professor Shri Kantia informed me that the story of 3,000 Brahmins' suicide is in Mysore.Gazetteer is nowhere. As a student of Mysore history, he is completely sure that no such incident has happened.

He also said that the Prime Minister of Tipu Sultan was a Brahmin, Purnia. And his commander Krishna was also a Brahmin.

(Dr. Biswambhar Nath Pandey -Islam and Indian Culture Chapter, p.134)

The history of Dr. Har Prasad Shastri was the authorized textbook of Bangla, Assam, Bihar, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajastan.

In 1972, the author was surprised to see such false stories in the sixth, seventh and eighth grade textbooks of Junior High School in Uttar Pradesh.

 History distortion is the currentRunning.
