**15 No-Background-Check Work-from-Home Jobs (Start ASAP!)**

Do you cringe when a company requires a background check? Do you worry that your less-than-stellar credit might cost you the job? Do you need a work-at-home job fast and don't want to wait?

This article will briefly describe the background check process and also give you fifteen work at home jobs that don't do background checks.

**Why Would a Company Require a Background Check?**

The company is requiring a background check to protect itself, its clients, and its other employees. The company is trying to screen out anyone that they believe could pose a potential threat (cyber, financial, terrorist, physical harm or otherwise) to its current culture or environment.

Background checks are also used to verify education, employment history, and references.

Background checks go by other names such as pre-employment screenings, background screenings, and background investigations.

Also, different states will vary on how many years a potential employer can go back in a candidates' history for such things as arrests, convictions or misdemeanors.

Companies will also vary on what they look for in background checks. Some will also run a credit check if you will be handling credit cards. Driving records may also be screened, but usually isn't necessary with work from home jobs.

**What is the Cost of a Background Check?**

While some companies will pay for the background check, others will not. Background checks can cost as little as $25 but as much as $85. You can deduct the amount from your taxes if you are an independent contractor.

**How Long Does It Take For a Company to Conduct a Background Check?**

A background check can take up to two weeks, but may only take a few days. Usually employment is contingent upon passing the background check.

**What Are Your Rights Regarding Your Background Check?**

You do have the right to see your background check once it has been completed for a work-at-home company. You may request a copy of it via email.

### **15 Remote Jobs That (Usually) Skip Background Checks**

Note there are way more than just the fifteen listed below. A brief description has been posted with each one with a review link included, if available.

Note that many companies, even if they DO end up running a check, will still consider you for employment just depending on what your background check shows. Not everything is a deal breaker.

Here they are:

**Cambly**– This is a tutoring site paying $.17 a minute where you would be tutoring non-English speaking students. You will be using your own laptop and webcam to interact with the students. You may set your own hours and shifts are two-hour stretches. Pay is done via PayPal.

**Appen** – One of the more popular and successful search engine evaluation companies.

If hired, you'll be analyzing search results and helping improve multimedia post suggestion algorithms for big companies like Google and Twitter. The pay is not disclosed, but traditionally jobs in this niche will earn you somewhere in the neighborhood of $12 to $15 per hour.

**Kirkus** – This is a book reviewing site where you would be writing book reviews for companies. Reviews are around 350 words and must be submitted within two weeks of acceptance. Payment is sent out via check every 60 days.

**Mturk** – This is also known as Amazon Mechanical Turk is a site that you can sign up with and begin earning money right away.

The site has numerous tasks that you can begin doing right away, and you will be allowed to do more and better HITS (Human Intelligence Tasks) as you gain more experience. There are a variety of tasks such as writing, surveys, transcription, and photo tagging. Payout is via direct deposit or Amazon gift cards.

**Rev** –This company hires remote transcribers to work from home, and they do not do a background check on potential workers. They pay weekly via Paypal.

**Textbroker**- This is a popular content mill for writers at all levels. Once accepted, you will be given a level from 3 to 5. The pay varies by level, and pay is weekly. They now accept proofreaders and have their own forum.

**U-Haul**– This is a well-known moving company which hires at home dispatchers to accept calls from customers renting or thinking about renting the moving vans. The pay varies depending on the specific position you accept and other factors. This is an employee job and not an independent contractor position.

**Verafast** – This is an outbound calling center requiring workers to work 15 hours a week. You would be calling newspaper customers as part of a customer retention program. The pay is roughly $.17 a minute. Not the best reputation, but you can get up and running quickly with them.

**WriterAccess** – This is a content mill where writers can write whenever they want and are accepted at different levels. Pay will vary based on your level of acceptance, but it is one of the better paying content mills.

**Accutran Global**- This is a transcription company that only hires in the US and Canada. The pay is $0.005/word to $0.0066. Like most jobs in this field, your hourly earning potential will depend largely on how fast you are.

**Scribie**– A transcription service with a very simple setup, and no base experience requirements. Ideal for people interested in trying transcription out to see if it's a good fit for them. The pay is $5 to $15 per audio hour, and you can choose which audio files you want to work on. Mostly just good for extra money.

**Tutlo**–Another language tutoring service. You need at least six months of experience teaching English in some context or another, but there's no requirement for any particular certification, and no mention of a background check.

**Fancy Hands**-A virtual assistant company that pays on a per-task basis. How much you earn will depend on how fast you are, your areas of expertise, and which hours you choose to work.

**First Quarter Finance** – This financial blog hires remote writers and editors. Obviously you'll need some knowledge on the subject matter to get a job here, and plenty of skill, but there's no mention of a background check.

According to the job posting, you will earn $20 hourly or more working with them.

**Time Etc**-A virtual assistant company that pays between $17 per hour. They have openings for several different kinds of assistants, and all the jobs seem quite different.

One thing you might notice is that *most* independent contractor opportunities are background check free, while the employee positions (phone jobs, etc.) are more likely to require background checks.

**There are exceptions of course** — for example, transcription jobs may require checks if you're transcribing sensitive info — but this is what you'll usually find.

### **Pro Tip**

Freelance/platform-based jobs (writing, tutoring, transcription) *rarely* require checks. Phone/employee roles (e.g., call centers) often do.

**The Sacred Wisdom Behind 30 Days of Fasting 🌙**

When the Prophet Adam (Alaihis Salam) played the fruit of the forbidden tree, it stayed in his stomach for thirty days. Therefore, Allah has made it obligatory for His children to keep hunger and thirst for thirty days.

Narrated from Hazrat Hassan (Alaihis Salam):

A group of Jewish Prophet Karim (peace be upon him) approached him and asked him some questions. He was one of the questions:

"Fasting is obligatory for your Ummah a day, but it is more determined for other nations - what is the reason?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) replied:

"WhenWhen Adam (Alaihis Salam) played the fruit of the forbidden tree, it stayed in his stomach for thirty days. Therefore, Allah has made it obligatory for His children to keep hunger and thirst for thirty days.

However, the food they receive at night is grace from Allah. The same provision was for Adam (Alaihis Salam). So it has been determined for my Ummah too. ”

Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited this verseDid:

"Fasting is obligatory for you, as it was obligatory for your predecessors, so that you may achieve Taqwa. (Surah Al-Baqarah: 183-184)

Then the Jewish man said: "O Muhammad (peace be upon him), you have told the truth! So what is the reward of those who observe this fast?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“The person who believes in faithRamadan fasts in the hope of reward, Allah has set seven special prizes for him:

1️⃣ **Purification** – The haram within their body dissolves.

2️⃣ **Divine Nearness** – They step closer to Allah’s infinite mercy.

3️⃣ **Atonement** – Their fast erases the legacy of Adam’s mistake.

4️⃣ **Ease in Death** – The pangs of leaving this world are softened.

5️⃣ **Protection** – On Judgment Day, they’ll be shielded from hunger and thirst.

6️⃣ **Salvation** – A guarantee of safety from the Fire.

7️⃣ **Divine Nourishment** – They’ll feast from the fruits of Paradise

Then the Jewish man said: "O Muhammad (peace be upon him), you have told the truth!

**Why I’m Obsessed With Selling Printables (And Why You Might Love It Too!)?**

Something I've always been fascinated by as a possible “side gig” or even full-time at-home business is creating and selling printables! Today I want to share with you some of the BEST reasons to consider this for yourself.

While I have created a handful of printables (I used to sell these over on Gumroad where my e-books are also listed), it's not something I've had time to really pursue in the way I'd like. But I LOVE the idea of this as a little business, and in this blog post, I'm telling you why!

If you've got the time and the skills, it might just be right up your alley. And it doesn't have to be a side gig. There are many people who have full-time home businesses (some earning six figures) based around creating and selling printables.

### ✨ **5 Reasons Printables Are Secretly Genius**

1 –**You Can Sell Printables Over & Over**

Printables are truly a “once and done” thing. You make it once, and then you sell it over and over again. So in that way it's true passive income.

If you take the time to make a bunch of printables and get them selling well, you'll be working way less in the future.

Printables also generally don't require much updating like an e-book or e-course might.

2 –**There is a Big Market For Printables**

If you think that most people prefer to do all their list-making, record-keeping, and organizing online now without a hard copy, think again.

I will admit that I fall into the former category. I am not a person who enjoys writing things out, and I prefer to do everything online or via apps when possible.

But there are so many people who simply do not trust that their information, lists, and other data is safe online and really just need that hard copy! A LOT of people are still that way.

So as long as there are people who want to print something out that they can write on/fill in the blanks and then hang on their fridge, store in a folder, keep in their car, etc., there are people who will want to buy your printables.

3 –**Printables Are Not That Hard to Make**

You do not need a degree in graphic design to make a printable.

Pretty much anyone who is capable of learning how to use the simple, drag and drop, template-filled image design sites made specifically for people without graphic design skills (think Canva which is my favorite, or PicMonkey) can make printables!

I will admit you do need to be tech-savvy enough to figure out how to use the tools on these sites, but it's way easier than something like Photoshop.

4 –**There Are Lots Of Places To Sell Printables Online**

The most obvious site you can use to sell printables is Etsy. But you don't have to stop there. You can sell them on Gumroad (like me), set up a Shopify store for them, or just sell them directly from a website you create yourself.

As a newbie, you would be smart to start off listing on Etsy or a similar marketplace since they help drive traffic to your offerings.

Some people even advertise their printables for sale on Facebook groups and other social media sites where it's allowed!

5 –**Printables Are a Great Outlet For Your Creativity**

If you like brainstorming and coming up with out-of-the-box ideas, creating printables would be a great way for you to do that.

There are some obvious types of printables that most people would create — grocery list printables, vacation packing lists, calendars, schedules — but you will stand out from the crowd if you think of some other types of printables people might like that not everyone else is doing.

**The Real Talk**

Is it magic? Nope. Like anything, it takes testing, tweaking, and patience. But if you love creating *and* the idea of earning while you sleep? This might be your golden ticket.

**Your Turn:** Ever tried selling printables? (Or secretly wanted to?) Drop your thoughts below—I’d love to hear what’s holding you back or what excites you! 💡

In Conclusion:

Despite the reasons I've given you, you may still decide creating and selling printables online is not the business venture or side-gig for you.

There are of course disadvantages to everything, and selling printables is no exception. There is a learning curve and it's not an overnight success for most people.

**✨ 10 Simple Ways to Earn an Extra $1,000/Month (Without Burning Out) ✨**

Are you sick and tired of feeling like you'll never have enough money and living paycheck to paycheck? You're not alone!

For a lot of people, an extra $1000 a month can go a very long way, especially with the rising costs of groceries and gas.

Today, I wanted to share with you some doable strategies to earn an extra $1,000 each month.

These ideas ought to get your wheels turning on some things you can do in your down time, whether you're looking for a side business to supplement your income or you just want to increase your savings.

So get your coffee and let's get started!

Here are **10 realistic, low-pressure ways** to hit that $1K/month goal—*without* quitting your day job:

 ### 1**Sell Digital Printables (Passive Income Magic!)**

Selling digital printables is one way to potentially earn an extra $1000 a month from home, in your spare time.

Digital printables are documents that users can download and print for their own use at home, like PDFs. These files might include anything from recipe cards and planner pages to wall art or birthday greetings.

The ease of creation and lack of need for actual inventory are two advantages of selling digital printables. This enables you to produce your files just once and sell them repeatedly, perhaps generating passive cash.

Additionally, you can sell your digital printables on many different sites, like Sellfy or Shopify, that makes it easy to reach a large audience of potential customers.

Creating digital printables does NOT require any graphic design experience, and there are many online tools out there that make it easy for people lacking design experience to create professional-looking files.

For example, you can use software such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or even Microsoft Word to create your digital printables. These tools come with pre-made templates, designs, and graphics that make it easy to create your files in a short amount of time even if you don't know what you're doing.

My friend Julie at Gold City Ventures has an informative free e-book you can check out with some more info on making money with printables!

### 2.**Freelance Your Skills**

Freelancing and contract work are popular ways to earn extra money because they allow you to leverage your skills and expertise to earn additional income.

By offering your services as a freelancer or contractor, you have the ability to work on a project-by-project basis, giving you the flexibility to choose the projects that you work on and the clients you work with.

For example, if you have a background in graphic design, you could offer your services as a freelance graphic designer on sites like Upwork or Fiverr.

Similarly, if you have experience in software development, you could offer your services as a freelance software developer on those same sites, or other sites like it.

You can also offer your services on a contract basis to companies or businesses that need your specific skillset temporarily.

Freelancing and contract work are great for extra money because you can set your own rates and determine your own hours. This works out well if you have other commitments in your life that take up the bulk of your time.

### 3.**Tutor Online**

Online tutoring can be a great way to earn $1000 or more extra per month!

There are lots of online tutoring companies, such as Tutor.com, Brainfuse, IvyMath, and HootReading, that connect tutors with students who need help with many different subjects, including math, science, English, and foreign languages just to name a few.

One of the biggest benefits of working online as a tutor is that it allows you to set your own schedule and determine the number of hours you work each week. So as you can see, this can be especially appealing if you have another day job, and are just looking for a flexible side hustle.

Online tutoring can also be a lucrative opportunity. As a tutor, you can earn anywhere from $15 to $50 per hour, depending on your experience and the subject you're tutoring.

This means that earning an extra $1000 per month as a tutor is very realistic provided you tutor during your down time each week.

In addition to earning extra money, online tutoring can also be a rewarding experience as it allows you to make a difference in students' lives and help them succeed academically.

So, if you have a passion for teaching and a wealth of knowledge in a particular subject, online tutoring could be an excellent way for you to earn extra money and make a positive impact.

### 4.**Sell Products Online**

Selling products online is a great way to earn an extra $1000 per month because it allows you to use the power of the internet to your advantage and reach a large audience of potential customers!

With e-commerce platforms like Shopify, you can set up a virtual store and start selling products without having to worry about the costs and hassles of opening a brick-and-mortar store.

Additionally, the internet allows you to reach customers 24/7, so you can make sales even when you're not actively working on your business.

Another benefit of selling products online is that it allows you to start a business with a low investment. Unlike traditional retail businesses, which often require a large upfront investment, an e-commerce business can be started for a relatively small amount of money.

This means that you can start earning extra money quickly and with minimal risk!

### 5.**Pet Sitting/Dog Walking**

If you're a pet lover, you could offer your pet sitting or dog walking services to make some extra money every month.

Doing pet sitting and dog walking on your own time, as a side gig, means you can take jobs when they are convenient for you and decline them when they aren't.

If you live in an area where there are a lot of people needing these services, making an extra thousand a month isn't outside the realm of possibility.

As a pet sitter, you should be able to earn from $15 to $30 per hour, charging more for overnight stays. Getting paid to walk dogs should earn you around the same amount.

If you want to get started doing some pet sitting or dog walking in your area but have no idea how to market your services, consider listing yourself with Rover. They take care of a lot of that for you!

### 6.**Transcription Work**

Work at home transcription (particularly general transcription) can pay on the low side — sometimes so low that you may not be able to rely on it for full-time income.

However, it can be great for side income, and it is very possible to earn $1000 a month or even more transcribing audio files for different companies.

Without getting into specifics, transcription is essentially listening to audio files and accurately typing out what you hear. This blog post provides a more detailed explanation.

You do transcription work on a freelance basis, on your own schedule. Most companies don't require a lot of experience for you to get started, but they may ask that you take a skills test first just to be sure your grammar and attention to detail are good.

Some companies that let you work as a general transcriber as a beginner include Rev, TranscribeMe, and Quicktate.

### 7.**Rent Out Unused Space**

Renting out your extra space is a great way to earn extra money without having to leave the comfort of your own home. There are several options for renting out your extra space, including:

Renting out a spare room: If you have a spare room in your home, you can rent it out on platforms like Airbnb. This is a great option if you're looking to earn some extra money and meet new people, as you'll be able to host guests from all over the world.

Renting out your driveway or garage: If you have a driveway or garage that you don't use, you can rent it out to people looking for places to park their cars. Platforms like SpotHero, JustPark (UK), and Parklet (UK) make it easy to rent out your extra space to drivers in your area.

Renting out storage space: If you have extra space in your home, such as a basement or attic, you can rent it out to people looking for storage space. For example, Neighbor and Storemates (UK) are two companies in the business of helping you find people in your area who need storage space and are willing to pay for it.

Whether you want to supplement your income or just earn a small amount of extra cash, renting out your extra space is a great option!

### 8.**Drive for DoorDash**

Driving for DoorDash can be a great way to earn extra money by utilizing your personal vehicle. Here's how you can do it:

Sign up: Start by visiting the DoorDash website and submitting an application to become a Dasher. You'll need to provide some personal and vehicle information, as well as pass a background check.

Choose your schedule: DoorDash allows you to work whenever you want, so you can choose the hours that work best for you. This makes it a great option if you want to earn extra money in your free time.

Start accepting deliveries: Once you're approved to be a Dasher, you can start accepting delivery requests through the DoorDash app. You'll be able to see the details of each delivery, including the pickup and drop-off locations, and you can choose to accept or decline based on your schedule and location.

Get paid: For each delivery you make, you'll earn a base pay plus any tips from the customer. DoorDash pays out weekly through direct deposit, so you can access your earnings quickly.

Driving for DoorDash can be a great way to earn an extra $1000 per month (on your own terms) if you have a personal vehicle and some free time.

### 9.**Affiliate Marketing**

Affiliate marketing is a popular marketing strategy where you earn a commission for promoting other people's or company's products. Here are some quick steps to earning extra money this way:

Choose your niche: Choose a specific niche in which you would like to promote products. This will help you target the right audience and find products that are relevant to your niche.

Find affiliate programs: Look for affiliate programs that offer products related to your niche. You can find these programs through affiliate networks, such as MaxBounty or ShareASale, or by reaching out to companies directly.

Promote products: Once you've joined an affiliate program, you'll be given a personal, unique-to-you link that you can use to promote that company's products. You can promote on your blog, website, social media channels, or through email marketing (newsletters).

Earn commission: Every time a customer clicks on your affiliate link and makes a purchase, you'll earn a commission on the sale. The commission rate of course varies depending on the product and affiliate program, but it can range anywhere from 5% to 50% of the sale price!

Affiliate marketing can be a great way to come up with that extra $1000 a month, especially if you already have an established audience or following.

In fact, Michelle at Making Sense of Cents has managed to use affiliate marketing to consistently earn over $100K a MONTH with her blog! She has an e-course that explains her strategy.

Just make sure you are transparent with your audience and only promote products that you believe in and think will be valuable to them.

### 10.**Direct Sales (The Modern Way)**

If you aren't already familiar with direct sales, here's a quick explanation for you!

Direct sales is a business model where individuals sell products directly to customers, often through in-home demonstrations or parties (think the Avon Lady or Tupperware parties, for example).

Here are the steps to earning extra money with direct sales:

Choose a company: Research and choose a direct sales company that offers products that you're passionate about and believe in. This will make it easier to sell the products and earn a commission.

Build your network: Your network is key to success in direct sales. Reach out to friends, family, and acquaintances to schedule in-home demonstrations or parties. You can also use social media and online marketing to reach a wider audience.

Make sales: During in-home demonstrations or parties, you'll have the opportunity to show the products and make sales.

Get paid: Most direct sales companies pay commissions on a regular basis, either weekly or monthly. The commission rate will vary depending on the company but can range anywhere from 10% to 50% of the sale price.

Build your downline: Some of the people you sell to may express interest in signing up to sell the product themselves. If they sign up under you, they become part of your “team” and you can then earn an additional commission off their sales.

So if you're a confident and outgoing person who enjoys selling and interacting with people, direct sales might be a good way for you to earn extra money.

Some popular direct sales companies to look into joining include Avon, Pampered Chef, and Mary Kay. I have a bigger list of them here.

Keep in mind there is usually a start-up cost to get going with any of these companies, but it's typically pretty low.

### **5 Unconventional Ways to Land Freelance Writing Gigs (Without Fighting Over Job Boards!)**

Tired of scrolling through Upwork, Fiverr, or Craigslist, only to find low-paying gigs or ghosted applications?

What if there were *better* ways to find freelance writing jobs—ones that lead to higher pay, cooler clients, and *way* less competition?

Good news: They exist. And they’re hiding in plain sight.

Here’s how to find them:

#### **1. Writers’ Groups (Where Jobs Come to *You*)**
Freelancing doesn’t have to be lonely. Online writing communities are *goldmines* for hidden gigs.

Established writers often share overflow work, and editors sometimes drop in to recruit directly.

Example? *Binders Full of Writing Jobs* (a Facebook group) regularly posts fresh leads. Paid communities (like *Freelance Writers Den*) even have dedicated job boards where members share referrals.

**Pro Tip:** Find a niche group in your specialty—health, tech, finance—and watch opportunities roll in.

#### **2. The “Secret” Job Boards (Fewer People, Better Pay)**
Most public job boards are flooded. But *better* ones exist—if you know where to look:

- **Paid boards** (like *FlexJobs* or niche newsletters) filter out low-quality listings.
- **LinkedIn’s job board**—companies pay to post here, so scams are rare.
- **Hidden boards** on company/university sites (dig deep—these are underrated).

**Why it works:** Less competition = higher chances of landing gigs.

#### **3. Virtual Conferences (Networking on Steroids)**
No travel? No problem. Online conferences are *packed* with potential clients.

How to leverage them:
- Get the attendee list (instant pitch list!).
- Connect with speakers & sponsors (they often need writers).
- Follow up post-event with a *personalized* pitch.

**Bonus:** Many conferences share contact details *before* the event—start networking early.

#### **4. Tell Your Network (Yes, Really)**
Here’s a shocking truth: *Most freelancers never ask their network for work.*

Your friends, family, or former colleagues might know someone who needs a writer. A quick post like:

*“Hey everyone! I’m taking on new freelance writing projects—if you know anyone who needs blog posts, website copy, or articles, I’d love an intro!”*

…can unlock surprise opportunities.

#### **5. Hunt for Lists (The Underrated Lead Machine)**
Google things like:
- *“Top startups in [Your City]”*
- *“Fastest-growing companies in [Industry]”*

Business journals, magazines, and niche sites *love* publishing these. Then, pitch the companies directly—you’ll stand out because *they aren’t even advertising jobs.*

### **The Big Takeaway?**
Stop competing with 1,000+ applicants on generic job boards. Instead:

✅ Tap into hidden networks.
✅ Pitch *before* jobs are posted.
✅ Let your existing connections help you.

The best clients rarely post public ads—they hire through referrals, communities, and direct outreach.

** Building Your Writing Portfolio? 15 Places That Pay *and* Give You Credit (Byline Included!)**

There are many sites you can do ghost writing for, and this is fine if you have bills you need to get taken care of. But a reader mentioned to me the other day that she is really interested in advancing her writing career, and to do this she'd like to find more places to write for that will pay her while also giving her full credit for her work.

So I did some research and find places you can write for that will pay you a flat fee for your work while also giving you credit for it.

**What is a byline**?

If you're pretty new to the writing world, you may be wondering, “What is a byline anyway?”

Basically, this is just a a paragraph, or a few lines, of information about you that appears on articles you write. It gives you credit for the content, and ultimately makes it so you can use your articles in your portfolio since you are credited.

Ghostwriters do not get bylines, and many, many content sites (particularly those lower-paying ones that use writers for SEO and link-building purposes) will not put your name on the content you create.

And this is fine if you're OK with that. But it won't help you grow your writing portfolio.

When you're writing out your byline, you'll want to be sure to include your name, a link to your website or social media profiles, and some interesting tidbits about yourself.

Don't make it overly long — it needs to be just long enough to catch someone's attention, but at the same time you need to realize it will probably get skimmed over if it's a huge block of text.

15 Writing Sites That Pay AND Provide a Byline

1.**Listverse** – Read Listverse Review – Pays $100 for lists, and you will get an author byline if your list is accepted.

2.**Bustle** – Read Bustle Review– Always on the lookout for interesting content. If your work is published, your name will appear at the top of your article in a clickable link. When clicked, the link takes the reader to a page with your photo and some info about you, and your past work.

3.**Cracked** – They will pay $100 for your first accepted article, plus you will get a byline. They get a lot of traffic, so you would also get a lot of exposure.

4.**How Stuff Work** – If you are accepted as a contributor for How Stuff Works (not easy to do!), your name will go on your articles and you will have a short bio listed on their author page.

5.**Medium** – You can write articles on just about any topic for Medium and get a byline! Many bloggers and authors looking to build up their portfolios and online presences do use Medium for those purposes. Medium will also pay you for your content after a month of consistent publishing on the site.

6.**iWorkWell**– From the website, “Do a handful and we'll post your bio on the iWorkwell Experts page — linked to every article you co-author, and optimized so you'll be easily found on search engines and get your name out there as an expert.”

7.**Wanderful** – This is a women's travel website that will pay you $50 per post, plus publish your name on any accepted content. They are looking for well-written content on destinations and itineraries, travel tips, global issues, and women to watch.

8.**LovetoKnow**– Every article you write has your name at the top. Clicking your name leads to your detailed “About Me” page.

9.**Matador Network**– This is mostly travel-related content. All your articles will have your name along with a short bio at the end as well as a link to your other Matador content. You'll have to keep tabs on their “opportunities” page to find the writing work when it is available.

10.**Salon**– This site publishes content on a variety of topics, and they accept submissions from freelancers. You will be paid and credited for your work if your submission is accepted.

11.**Skyword** – Your name goes on all the articles you write for any of Skyword's properties.

12.**The Escapist**– Online magazine paying $250 an article.

13.**Mental Floss**– Mental Floss is usually looking for writers to contribute lists and/or short features across a wide variety of different categories including entertainment, history, science, and more. They do give you a bio and pay you for accepted content ($125 to $150 starting rates).

14.**Wow! Women On Writing**– This magazine accepts freelance submissions. You will receive an author bio and you will be paid between $50 and $150 (depending on the type of article you submit) if your work is accepted and published.

15.**Writer's Weekly**– If you have freelance writing experience and you can write about, Writer's Weekly may be interested in publishing some of your work. They also accept success stories. Pay is between $40 and $60, and you will get an author bio on your published articles.

**Why share this?** Because building a sustainable writing career often starts with getting your name out there. A byline helps do that! Hope this list sparks some ideas or leads to your next great piece. 🙌

**P.S.** If you've written for any of these (or have others to add!), drop your experiences below! 👇 Let's share the knowledge.

**The Universal Wisdom of Fasting: Discovered by Tradition, Validated by Science (Autophagy)**

> From Ramadan (Sawm) and Hindu/Buddhist fasting (Vrat) to Christian Lent and hunger strikes – cultures worldwide have long understood the power of abstaining from food. Now, science explains *why* it can be so beneficial: **Autophagy**.

>

> **What is Autophagy?**

> Coined from Greek ("auto" = self, "phagy" = eating), autophagy is your body's incredible **cellular recycling and renewal process**. Think of it like your cells' internal "dustbin day" or "recycle bin purge."

>

> **How Does Fasting Trigger It?**

> When we stop eating (ideally 12-24 hours or more), our cells shift gears. With no external fuel coming in, they get resourceful:

> 🔄 They start breaking down old, damaged proteins, cellular debris, and dysfunctional components.

> ♻️ They recycle these parts into energy and building blocks for repair and renewal.

>

> **Why Does This Matter? (The Science-Backed Perks):**

> This deep cellular "cleanup" activated by fasting (autophagy) is linked to:

> • Cleansing damaged cellular components

> • Destroying potentially harmful cells (like pre-cancerous ones)

> • Reducing inflammation

> • Boosting brain function & mental clarity

> • Enhancing the body's natural repair mechanisms

> • Improving insulin sensitivity (helping manage diabetes)

> • Potentially slowing aging processes

> • Aiding weight management

> • Supporting longevity

>

> Dr. Yoshinori Ohsumi's groundbreaking work earned him the 2016 Nobel Prize for unraveling autophagy's mechanisms. His research gives us a scientific lens to appreciate what spiritual and traditional practices have intuitively known for millennia.

>

> It's a beautiful reminder: sometimes, the most profound healing comes from giving our bodies a rest and allowing their innate intelligence to work. Whether driven by faith or health, the act of mindful fasting connects us to this deep biological wisdom. ✨

**"When Faith Moves the Sea: A Divine Lesson in Trust & Humanity"**

The people of Egypt are floating in the bottle of sea in a bottle, so that the waves of the sea reach Gaza resident by the will of God.

Although they did not confirm where they got this thought, such a wonderful event happened at the time of "Israel". The Prophet (peace be upon him) told the Prophet (peace be upon him) that the Prophet himself.

Let's find out that event.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated from:

Allah's Messenger (।) said that any of the Children of IsraelOne person asked for a thousand dinar loans to another person of Israel. Then he (the lender) said, "Bring some witnesses, I will witness them." He said, "God is enough as a witness.

" Then (the lender) said, "Then bring a guarantor." He said, "Allah is sufficient as a guarantor." The lender said, "You are the truth." He then gave him a thousand dinars at the scheduled time.

Then the borriers traveled marine and needed itAfter resolving, he began to find the vehicle, so that he could reach the lender within the stipulated time. But he didn't get any vehicles.

Then he took a piece of wood and perforated it and closed the hole in the name of the lender and a thousand dinars and closed the hole in it and came to the sea and said, "O Allah! You know that I asked for a thousand dinar debt to me, he wanted me to be a jerk.

I said, "God is enough as Jamin."He agrees. Then he asked me a witness, I said that God is enough as a witness, he agrees. I tried his best to repay his loan (timely), but did not get it. So I handed you to you, saying that he threw the wood into the sea. And the woods entered the sea.

Then the man returned and began to look for vehicles to go to his city. There afterlyThe lender went to the beach in the hope that the borrower may have brought its goods to a boat. His vision fell on the wood, which was inside.

He took the woods to his family for the fuel. When he was chilly, he got the goods and leaflets. After some time the borrower brought a thousand dinars and said, "By Allah!" I was always looking for vehicles to get your goods on time.

But I did not find any other boat before the boat I came now. The lender said, did you send something to me? The borrower said, I told you that I had never found any other boat before.

He said, "God has collected me from your side what you sent inside the wood piece." Then he joyfully returned with a thousand dinars.

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith No. 2291)

I think Bonnie Israel is that event in EgyptThese people have inspired the people to float food in the sea and send them to Gaza.

Today, as food floats across the Mediterranean toward Gaza, we witness a modern testament to *tawakkul* (trust in Allah). Though the means seem impossible, His will transcends barriers.

This story isn’t just about miracles—it’s a call to *action*:

- **Trust deeply** in Allah’s plan, even when paths seem closed.

- **Give selflessly**, knowing no effort is wasted.

- **Believe** that kindness, like waves, finds its way to those in need.

May we all be vessels of hope, guided by faith beyond what our eyes can see. 🤲

**Navigating the Modern Job Market: A Natural Guide to Growth, Balance, and Success**

The corporate world often paints a picture of relentless hustle and polished achievements. Yet beneath the surface, challenges like work-life imbalance, societal pressures, and career pauses—especially for women—persist. The silver lining? Technology now offers unprecedented access to remote work, freelance opportunities, and skill-building tools. This guide shares authentic, actionable strategies to help you thrive in today’s job market while staying true to yourself.

---

### **1. Master Your Skills: Blend Present Strengths with Future Trends**

The "skill gap" is real—rapid tech advancements and shifting industries demand agility. Success hinges on balancing timeless soft skills (communication, leadership, resilience) with in-demand hard skills (data analytics, AI basics, digital marketing).

**How to Grow Naturally:**

- **Learn Strategically:** Use platforms like Coursera or LinkedIn Learning to upskill. Focus on *applying* knowledge through small projects (e.g., a freelance design gig or a personal blog analyzing industry trends).

- **Audit Quarterly:** Reflect every 3–6 months: *What skills are rising in my field? Where can I improve?*

- **Solve Problems, Not Checklists:** Frame skills as tools to address real challenges. For example, learn Python not just to code, but to automate tasks or analyze customer data.

---

### **2. Reframe Career Breaks as Growth Opportunities**

Time away from traditional work—for family, health, or exploration—isn’t a gap. It’s a chapter of growth. Highlight how this period enriched your adaptability, time management, or creativity.

**Authentic Reentry Tips:**

- **Volunteer or Freelance:** Use platforms like Upwork to stay engaged. Even part-time projects keep skills sharp.

- **Own Your Story:** On your resume, frame breaks with honesty: *"Managed family care while completing a digital marketing certification and leading community initiatives."*

- **Refresh Confidently:** Local workshops or online courses (e.g., Google Career Certificates) ease the transition back.

---

### **3. Craft a Human-Centered Resume & Cover Letter**

Your application materials should tell a story, not just list duties. Employers connect with impact, not jargon.

**Keep It Real:**

- **Quantify Quietly:** Instead of "Improved sales," try *"Boosted client retention by 30% through personalized outreach strategies."*

- **Tailor with Heart:** Customize each cover letter to reflect the company’s mission. *"Your focus on sustainable tech aligns with my volunteer work promoting eco-friendly startups."*

- **Build a ‘Master’ Draft:** Maintain a core resume, then tweak sections to match job specifics.

---

### **4. Network with Purpose, Not Pressure**

Meaningful connections stem from curiosity, not transactions. Focus on mutual growth.

**Genuine Relationship-Building:**

- **Engage Thoughtfully:** Comment on LinkedIn posts with insights, not just "Great post!"

- **Seek Mentors, Not Favors:** Ask experienced professionals for *advice*, not jobs. Example:

*"How did you pivot into cybersecurity? I’d love to learn from your journey."*

- **Give First:** Share resources, introduce contacts, or offer feedback. Generosity fosters trust.

---

### **5. Ace Interviews Through Preparation, Not Perfection**

Interviews are conversations, not interrogations. Focus on clarity and connection.

**Stay Grounded:**

- **Practice Stories, Not Scripts:** Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure anecdotes.

- **Research Deeply:** Understand the company’s culture, recent news, and challenges. Ask, *"How does this role address your current goals?"*

- **Embrace Imperfection:** A calm, authentic response often resonates more than a rehearsed one.

---

### **6. Protect Your Energy: Balance Isn’t a Luxury**

Burnout undermines success. Prioritize well-being to sustain long-term growth.

**Sustainable Habits:**

- **Set Boundaries Early:** Use tools like Trello to organize tasks, and communicate limits politely (*"I’m offline after 6 PM but will respond first thing tomorrow"*).

- **Micro-Renewals:** Daily 10-minute meditations or walks reset focus.

- **Delegate Unapologetically:** Share household/career tasks—you don’t need to “do it all.”

---

### **7. Embrace Tech as Your Ally**

Digital fluency isn’t optional. Even non-tech roles benefit from understanding AI basics or collaboration tools.

**Stay Curious:**

- **Learn Tools Proactively:** Master Zoom, Slack, or Canva to streamline workflows.

- **Explore AI Ethically:** Experiment with ChatGPT for drafting emails or analyzing data trends.

- **Stay Secure:** Basic cybersecurity knowledge (e.g., password managers, phishing awareness) protects your work.

---

### **8. Ask for Help—It’s a Strength**

Vulnerability builds bridges. Seeking support accelerates growth.

**Quiet Confidence Tips:**

- **Normalize Mentorship:** *"I admire your career path—could we chat about overcoming obstacles?"*

- **Advocate Quietly:** Address workplace issues calmly with HR, framing solutions (*"Flexible hours could improve our team’s productivity"*).

---

**Final Thoughts**

Your career journey isn’t linear—it’s a mosaic of learning, adapting, and self-discovery. Each step, whether a pause, a pivot, or a promotion, adds depth to your story. Trust your resilience, celebrate small wins, and remember: Your path inspires others to embrace their own.

### **The Hidden Key to Decisions: How Your Brain Changes Across Life (And What *Really* Defines Success)**

Ever wonder why your choices shift as you age? It’s not random—it’s psychology in motion.

When people have adolescents or young people, the level of emotions is high, the logic works less. So in many cases they make mistakes that are not wise.
In the middle age, people do more than an analysis of logic than emotion. Many also get success.
As the age increases, the emotions of the people increase again. ThenNot wrong.
Because three things go together.
Logic, emotion and experience. Then many successes can come.

What do we think is a little bit of life in life, is it a little thought to achieve wealth is whether our real success is?

I do not want to pull the spiritual or religious part. Religiously the practice of the Hereafter is called achievement. This is an essential thing, I don't want to match it.

Our original achievement or success is a life of happyLiving Which doesn't just come with money.
Success is the name of how happy we can live with everyone with family.

Think about what you did for your mental peace, what came to achieve?

** Dreaming of high-impact freelance work? This 2025 trend is legit** 💼✨

Are you tired of being locked in a full-time corporate leadership position? If you’re feeling anxious to try your hand at something new and experience some variety in your work and career, why not consider fractional executive leadership?

As innovation booms and more start-ups are launched thanks to heavy AI investment, businesses are realizing the importance of leadership on demand, most commonly referred to as "fractional."

Instead of hiring CTOs (Chief Technology Officers) or CFOs (Chief Financial Officers) for full-time permanent positions, many start-ups find it to be more flexible and cost-effective, especially when operating on a tight investment budget, to outsource their projects and hire a freelance executive on a contract, part-time basis.

It’s a win-win because not only are these businesses able to benefit from your fresh expertise from an outside point of view, but you’re able to benefit as a freelancer since you can work remotely on your own terms, and maximize your earning potential by working with several clients on a part-time basis without the full commitment of traditional executive leadership.

This type of freelancing work is extremely lucrative, provided you have the right experience and have a strong track record of consistently delivering exceptional results such as reduced costs, bringing a product to market, creating a roadmap that enabled a start-up’s launch, or supporting with MVPs (minimum viable product) and investor relations.

**What Is A Fractional Executive**?
A fractional executive is a freelance high-level business professional who provides strategic consulting, advice, and support to a company, usually a start-up. In this freelance remote job, you can train and mentor founding teams, lead and develop IT infrastructure and the business’s app or other digital product, optimize workflows, and lead investment and fundraising rounds while ensuring maximized profitability.

As a freelance business leader you’ll lend your wealth of advice and practical expertise to help businesses grow and succeed, for a short-term, part-time contract, and come in at critical points such as the growth phase or restructuring of a company.

There are different types of fractional executives just as there are different C-suite roles. The most popular ones are fractional CFO and CTO, but below is a wider list of examples of some remote freelance executive jobs:

**Fractional CTO (Chief Technology Officer**)--manages and directs the tech strategy, IT operations, and cybersecurity aspects of the business.

**Fractional CMO (Chief Marketing Officer**)--leads on all things marketing and branding.

**Fractional CRO**(Chief Revenue Officer)--focuses on aligning all aspects of the business that bring in revenue, including sales, marketing, business development, and customer success strategies.

**Fractional CPO**(Chief Product Officer)--oversees product strategy and development, enabling products to be brought to market.

**Fractional COO**(Chief Operating Officer)--comes in and develops/oversees daily business operations and workflows in line with the business strategy and goals.

**Fractional CFO**(Chief Financial Officer)--takes the lead on matters relating to investments, financial planning, and financial risk management

**Fractional CHRO**(Chief Human Resources Officer)--provides consulting services to optimize or create talent management and recruitment strategies from scratch.

**How Much Can You Get Paid**?
As a fractional C-suite executive, you can typically make between $5,000 to $15,000 a month as a retainer fee for a single project, costing businesses less money (they will only generally expect to pay between 19-31% of the cost of a full-time C-suite hire including as well as bonuses).

The income potential is even further multiplied by the fact that you have the flexibility to work on several contracts at the same time for multiple clients, compared to working in a traditional job in senior leadership and management where you’re only working for one employer.

So for example, even if you just had three clients, you could potentially earn $45,000 in just one month. At the same time, you’re able to experience the thrill of getting involved in multiple innovative projects, lending mentorship and support through your experience, and gaining a track record of working with multiple industries along the way as well, which is very flattering for your portfolio and resume.

Although not instantly the most recognizable freelance remote job, fractional executives are needed more than ever, and now is your chance to turn your wealth of experience into something that works for you, your career goals, and your personal lifestyle and wellbeing.

**🌿 Boost Your Health with These 11 Magnesium-Rich Fruits!**

*(Perfect for smoothies, snacks, or desserts!)*

Magnesium is a mineral that's needed for important processes such as nerve function, blood pressure and blood sugar regulation, bone health maintenance, and more.

Your daily magnesium needs depend on factors like your age and gender. Adult males need 400-420 milligrams of magnesium per day, and adult females require 310-400 milligrams per day.1

Nearly half of the United States population falls short of their daily magnesium intake needs, which can increase their risk of conditions like heart disease.12 Eating more magnesium-rich foods, like fruit, can help boost magnesium intake.

1. Prickly Pear

Prickly pear is a plant native to Mexico. It grows oval-shaped fruits that have a sweet, berry-like flavor.34

Prickly pears are healthy and high in several vitamins, minerals, and healthy plant compounds. These fruits are one of the best sources of magnesium you can eat.

A 1-cup serving of raw prickly pear fruit contains 127 milligrams of magnesium, which is 30% of the Daily Value (DV) for magnesium.15

Prickly pears are also rich in vitamin C and fiber. Vitamin C is essential for immune function, while fiber promotes gut health by supporting regular bowel movements and encouraging the growth of healthy bacteria in your digestive tract. A cup of raw prickly pear provides 23% of your DV for vitamin C and 19.2% for fiber.56

2. Dried Figs

Dried figs are an excellent source of magnesium. One cup provides 101 milligrams, 24% of the DV.7

In addition to magnesium, figs are high in fiber and other vitamins and minerals, like vitamin B6 and calcium. A cup of dried figs contains 14.6 grams of fiber, which covers over 50% of the DV for fiber.

Figs are also packed with polyphenol antioxidants, which protect against cellular damage and regulate inflammation.8

3. Durian

Durian is a large tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia. It has a creamy texture and a sweet yet bitter taste. Durian is known for its strong smell—sometimes described as a combination of sulfur and rotten onions.9

Durian is a good source of fiber and several vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, potassium, B vitamins, and magnesium. A cup of raw durian contains 72.9 milligrams of magnesium, 17% of the DV.10

The same serving contains 53% of the DV for vitamin C, which functions as an antioxidant in the body and is required for immune function, collagen synthesis, and neurotransmitter production.11

4. Passion Fruit

Passion fruit is a vining plant native to South America. The plant produces small fruits with hard rinds ranging from green to purple, depending on ripeness.

The soft, seed-filled flesh of passion fruit is a good source of several nutrients, including magnesium. A cup of passionfruit contains 68.4 milligrams of magnesium, 16.2% of the DV.1213

It's also a good source of vitamin A, providing 16.7% of the DV. Vitamin A is needed for vision, reproductive health, immune function, and normal growth and development.14

5. Jackfruit

Jackfruit is the fruit of the Artocarpus heterophyllus tree, which is native to India. Jackfruits are the largest edible fruit in the world and can grow up to 110 pounds.15

A cup of raw jackfruit contains 47 milligrams of magnesium, 11% of the DV.16

The same serving covers 16% of the DV for potassium. Like magnesium, potassium is necessary for blood pressure regulation. Eating more foods high in potassium and magnesium may help reduce high blood pressure and lower the risk of heart disease.1718

6. Avocado

Avocados are one of the healthiest fruits you can eat. They are rich in a number of nutrients, including fiber, healthy fats, and minerals like magnesium. A cup of cubed avocado contains 43.5 milligrams of magnesium, 10.35% of the DV.19

Unlike most other fruits, avocados are low in carbohydrates and high in healthy fats, making them a good option for those on low-carbohydrate diets, like keto diets, and those with diabetes.

They're also high in fiber, which promotes healthy blood sugar control by slowing the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream. A cup of cubed avocado provides 35% of the DV for fiber.19

7. Dried Apricots

Dried apricots are sweet and chewy, making them an excellent option for those craving a healthy alternative to sweets like candy.

A cup of dried apricots provides 41.6 milligrams of magnesium, 9.9% of the DV. They are also packed with other nutrients, such as potassium and iron.20

The same serving of dried apricots covers 19.2% of the DV for iron, which is needed for oxygen transportation, growth, energy production, hormone synthesis, and neurological development.21

8. Bananas

Bananas are tropical fruits that contain an impressive amount of nutrients. A cup of banana slices contains 40.6 milligrams of magnesium, 9.6% of the DV.22

Bananas are also high in vitamin B6, a B vitamin needed for metabolism, immune function, neurotransmitter production, and the formation of hemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying part of red blood cells.23

9. Guava

Guava is a tropical fruit with a sweet but tart taste. It's a good source of magnesium, with a cup of guava providing 36.4 milligrams of magnesium, or 8.6% of the DV.24

Papayas are large tropical fruits with bright orange, sweet-tasting flesh. Papaya is a good source of vitamins and minerals, including magnesium. A cup of papaya contains 34.6 milligrams of magnesium, 8.2% of the DV.25

Papayas are also high in folate, vitamin C, and carotenoid antioxidants. They are especially high in lycopene, a carotenoid pigment with powerful heart-protective properties. Research shows that following a diet high in lycopene is an effective way to lower heart disease risk.26

11. Blackberries

A cup of blackberries contains 28.8 milligrams of magnesium, 7% of the DV. They are also high in vitamins C and K and manganese, a mineral involved in immune health, energy metabolism, and nervous system function.2728

Blackberries contain concentrated antioxidants, such as phenolic acids and anthocyanins, which give them powerful anti-inflammatory and cellular protective properties.

Other Food Sources of Magnesium

In addition to fruits, magnesium can be found in nuts, vegetables, seeds, and beans.

Here are some of the best dietary sources of magnesium:1

Spinach: 156 milligrams (mg) per cooked cup, or 37% of the Daily Value (DV)
