When the Prophet Adam (Alaihis Salam) played the fruit of the forbidden tree, it stayed in his stomach for thirty days. Therefore, Allah has made it obligatory for His children to keep hunger and thirst for thirty days.

Narrated from Hazrat Hassan (Alaihis Salam):
A group of Jewish Prophet Karim (peace be upon him) approached him and asked him some questions. He was one of the questions:
"Fasting is obligatory for your Ummah a day, but it is more determined for other nations - what is the reason?"
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) replied:
"WhenWhen Adam (Alaihis Salam) played the fruit of the forbidden tree, it stayed in his stomach for thirty days. Therefore, Allah has made it obligatory for His children to keep hunger and thirst for thirty days.
However, the food they receive at night is grace from Allah. The same provision was for Adam (Alaihis Salam). So it has been determined for my Ummah too. ”
Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited this verseDid:
"Fasting is obligatory for you, as it was obligatory for your predecessors, so that you may achieve Taqwa. (Surah Al-Baqarah: 183-184)
Then the Jewish man said: "O Muhammad (peace be upon him), you have told the truth! So what is the reward of those who observe this fast?"
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“The person who believes in faithRamadan fasts in the hope of reward, Allah has set seven special prizes for him:
1️⃣ **Purification** – The haram within their body dissolves.
2️⃣ **Divine Nearness** – They step closer to Allah’s infinite mercy.
3️⃣ **Atonement** – Their fast erases the legacy of Adam’s mistake.
4️⃣ **Ease in Death** – The pangs of leaving this world are softened.
5️⃣ **Protection** – On Judgment Day, they’ll be shielded from hunger and thirst.
6️⃣ **Salvation** – A guarantee of safety from the Fire.
7️⃣ **Divine Nourishment** – They’ll feast from the fruits of Paradise
Then the Jewish man said: "O Muhammad (peace be upon him), you have told the truth!
