🌿Reviving a Blessed Sunnah: The Gentle Gift of Nabeez – A Drink of Peace & Nourishment🌿

There are some habits that nourish more than the body.
They steady the heart.
They simplify life.
They quietly reconnect us to the Sunnah.
Nabeez is one of those gifts.
Simple. Intentional. Nourishing.

🌿 What Is Nabeez?
Nabeez is a natural drink that the beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to drink in the morning and at night. Narrated Aisha (RA): "The Nabeez used to be prepared for Rasulullah (SAW) in the morning.

When it was night, he would drink it. Then at night the Prophet was made. When morning came, he would drink it." (Sunan Abu Dawud, Kitabush Sharabah, Babu Fi Sifatin Nabeez, Hadith No. 3712).

Nabeez is not only good for health, butIt is also a part of following the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH). It is made by soaking dates/raisins/figs in water. This drink is highly nutritious and hydrating, which hydrates the body and provides energy throughout the day.

🌙 Why Nabeez Matters—Especially Before Ramadan?

Ramadan is coming in a few days. It is especially beneficial during Sahri and Iftar during the month of Ramadan.

As Ramadan progresses, most people find it difficult to eat well at Sahri and Iftar began to rise. Because a common problem of fasting people is stomach acidity or gas problem.

To solve this problem it may be better for you to try 'Nabi', a favorite drink of the Prophet (PBUH). Nabeez is an alkaline tonic, which flushes out toxins from the body, reduces stomach acidity and improves digestion.

🧪 What Science Says (In Simple Words)?
A study published in Biomedical and Pharmacology Journal. In this study, the active compounds in the water of Nabi Qualitative and quantitative analysis is done. 5 grams of Ajwa date palm seeds are soaked in 100 ml of water for 18 hours.

After that the water was filtered and fresh water was collected and research was carried out. Studies have shown that fresh water contains active compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids and tannins.

Active compounds found in fresh water have many health benefits:

- Flavonoids: antioxidants,Has anti-inflammatory and cholesterol-lowering properties.

- Saponin: Strengthens the immune system and helps lower cholesterol.

- Alkaloids: possess analgesic and anti-microbial properties.

- Tannin: has anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal and antiseptic properties.

The process of making Nabiya is called in science - Maceration. Where any is difficultSubstances (fruits, herbs, or others) are soaked in a liquid (water, oil, or others) for a specified period of time (12 hours, 24 hours, or more) so that the active ingredients of the solids are absorbed into the liquid.

In this process, the liquid absorbs the nutrients, aromas and other components of the solid. After soaking, the beneficial components of the solid material are mixed with the liquid, then the solid material is filtered and the liquid material is separatedis taken

🥣 How to Make Nabeez (The Sunnah Way)?
If you are a single person, quickly crush 1-3 dates and soak them in a glass of water. Cover the glass. After 10-12 hours strain the dates and consume only the water.

If you prepare it in the morning, you will eat it at night, and if you prepare it at night, you will eat it in the morning. It is Sunnah to use water to make the Prophet. Do not use milk.

Nabeez can be made with raisins like dates. But never two Do not mix together to make nabiyyah. In the hadith it is forbidden to mix dates and raisins together to make Nabeez. In the Hanafi Madhhab, mixing dates and raisins together to make Nabeez is makruh.

The possible reason behind this is that the drink has the potential to ferment quickly and turn into alcohol. It is permissible to make Nabeez by soaking dates or raisins separately.

On the authority of Hazrat Abu Qatadah (R.A.): "The Prophet, peace be upon himThe Messenger of Allah forbade the mixing of dates (ripe dates) and half-ripe dates and dates and raisins. And each of these can be soaked separately to make 'Nabeez'."

(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 74, Chapter 11, Hah 5602; Sahih Muslim, Volume 36, Chapter 5, Hah 1988)

Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA): "The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: 'Whoever drinks Nabeez (water soaked in dates or grapes)If he wishes to do so, let him drink it separately (soaked and made nabiyyah) with raisins or dry dates or raw dates.'

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade us not to mix raw dates with dry dates, or raisins with dates, or raisins with raw dates.” (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No: 1988, Islamic Foundation Edition).

The “Small Account” Win No One Talks About ☁️✨

There’s a moment every creator remembers—the realization that your words, your opinions, your presence online actually matter.
Not because you’re famous.
Not because you have massive numbers.
But because real people are listening.
That’s where platforms like Tomoson quietly step in.

If you run a blog, YouTube channel, Instagram page—or any online space where you share honest thoughts—Tomoson creates a bridge between creators and brands looking for authentic voices, not perfection.
And yes, even if you’re just starting out.

Getting Started
To start, you just sign up as an influencer. This is very quick and easy, and you can choose whether to sign up with your email address or your Facebook account.

Once your account is set up, you'll need to take the time to fill out your profile as completely as you can. This will include basic information (name, address, etc.) as well as information about your blog/online platform and what you'd charge for a sponsored post along with your Paypal email address so you can be paid.

There is also a section for you to connect your social media accounts to Tomoson. This is very important because the brands that you do reviews/sponsored posts for will want you to promote those posts across your social media accounts, so there is interest in knowing how many followers you have on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and any other site you use for promotion.

Additionally, if you're a blogger, you'll need to connect your Google Analytics account to Tomoson. This is so brands can verify the amount of traffic your blog receives.

Finding Promotions
Once you're all signed up, you just browse around Tomoson and find promotions you'd like to apply for.

I absolutely love Tomoson's interface. They make it super easy to sort around and find promotions that are perfect.

They also have a really big variety of different types of promotions. No matter what your niche is, it's likely there's something in there that would be a fit.

Each promotion lists a photo of the product to review, the name of the company, a short description, prerequisites to be eligible to apply (if any), and the different tasks that need to be completed for the review which is usually the review along with various social media promotion the brand will want done.

You can apply for anything you see as long as you meet whatever prerequisites are listed, and you can state on your application what you would charge for the review. There is a small charge built into the fee for escrow and payment processing that Tomoson puts in place.

Your payments will come to you direct from Tomoson via Paypal. Tomoson does payouts twice monthly on the 1st and 15th, and they cover all the Paypal fees for you.

Promotion Invites
You'll find once you've registered at Tomoson that you don't always have to go out and apply for things to promote. In many cases, the brands will contact you directly to see if you would apply for their promotions thanks to your being listed in Tomoson's network of bloggers and influencers.

And if they contact you directly, there is a great chance you'll be approved for that promotion since the brand already thinks you are a good fit.

Likelihood of Getting Selected
While some promotions will require a certain number of social media followers and traffic, there are many that do not have any prerequisites. As mentioned above, I was able to get in on quite a few different promotions with my very small, very low traffic review blog a few years back.

I'm no longer running that blog because I didn't have time to juggle it along with this one, but I checked Tomoson a few times per week back then and got in on more promotions than I thought I would.

Influencer Success Rate on Tomoson
For many people, Tomoson means substantial monthly income. The company shared some of their data with me before I wrote this post and let me know that of the top 20% of people who are making money on Tomoson, currently the top 10% earn 1K+ every month.

Keep In Mind
While I was told by Tomoson that you can sign up even if you're not a blogger provided you have some type of online influence, the fact remains that almost all opportunities in their database want you to do a blog post. So I don't know how many opportunities for influencers there actually are on a regular basis.

🌱 A Realistic Path, Not a Fantasy
Not every opportunity requires big numbers. Many don’t require any prerequisites at all.

That’s why even small, low-traffic blogs can still land collaborations. Growth here isn’t about overnight success—it’s about steady momentum.

Some creators eventually earn consistent monthly income. Others simply enjoy the experience of working with brands they genuinely like. Both paths are valid.

🤍 A Gentle Truth You Need to Hear
You don’t need to do everything perfectly to move forward.
Some weeks you’ll apply to multiple opportunities.
Some weeks you’ll do nothing—and that’s okay.
Progress doesn’t come from pressure.
It comes from showing up again and again.

💭 A Quiet Reflection
Creating online isn’t just about earning money.
It’s about building something that reflects you—your pace, your values, your voice.
One honest review.
One thoughtful post.
One aligned collaboration at a time.

If even one small step helps you feel more confident or focused this week—that’s already a win worth celebrating 🤍

What’s one small shift you could make to honor your creative energy this week?

Confession from a Distracted Work-at-Home Mom: The 10 Things That Actually Worked

 .

Let me be honest—I used to believe working from home meant more freedom.
What I didn’t expect was more distractions than ever before.
Emails. Social media. Housework. Cooking. Cleaning.
One minute I’d sit down to work…

The next minute I’d be deep-cleaning the kitchen or replying to messages that “couldn’t wait.”
Sound familiar?

Working from home—whether it’s a side hustle, freelancing, or running your own thing—looks easy from the outside. But managing time inside your own home?

That’s a real skill. And most of us are learning it the hard way.

So instead of pretending I had it all together, I started making small, realistic changes. Nothing extreme. Nothing perfect. Just habits that actually work in real life.

Here’s what made the biggest difference 👇

⏰ 10 Time-Management Shifts That Changed My Work-From-Home Life
1 – Get house work done before you start working.
For you, this may mean tidying up just before you go to bed, or first thing in the morning before you even open your computer and sit down to work.

I don't know about you, but my focus is greatly improved when I'm not staring at a sink full of dirty dishes and mess strewn about when I'm trying to concentrate on work!

2 – Close those open computer tabs!
In the past, I would work in one tab and keep my email and Facebook open in another. And predictably, when I saw a new email or Facebook notification light up in any of the open tabs, curiosity got the better of me and I'd go see what's up.

And sometimes whatever the notification was for would take me away from work for quite a while, depending on who I ended up emailing back and forth, or who I'd chat with on Facebook.

Needless to say, I've been much more productive only keeping the tab I'm working in open.

Remember that whatever it is can almost always wait. I figure if it's a real emergency, the people who need to call or text have my number.

3 – Stay away from your email and social media altogether if possible.
Check it when you wake up in the morning, again if you take a lunch break, and then don't bother to open it again until you're done working for the day.

Trust me, you will get so much more done!

4 – Turn off notifications on your phone.
Even if you've closed your tabs, you may find it too hard to resist checking notifications if it's lighting up every few minutes.

Just go into your settings and make it so your phone doesn't alert you constantly. Most phones now have a Focus Mode, Screen Time, or Digital Wellbeing feature you can use to mute everything that’s not essential while you’re trying to work.

5 – Allow only a certain amount of time for your breaks.
Sometimes my “breaks” end up taking so long that I just never get back to work for the day. It's a good idea to make a plan in advance on how long you're going to allow yourself to “break” during non-work times, and then make that a hard and fast rule.

If necessary, use a timer to time your breaks.

6 – Speaking of breaks, try the Pomodoro Technique.
I actually wrote about the Pomodoro Technique a long time ago. But basically, it's just a way of working in blocks of about 25 minutes, taking short breaks in between. It's very effective because it gives your brain much needed time to rest, and many people find they get a lot more done when they use it.

Note these short breaks in between your blocks of working aren't the same as the breaks I mentioned above when you're actually not working. These are just five minute breaks to let your brain rest while you're in the process of working.

7 – Be firm with your family when it comes to your working hours.
Your family and friends are well-meaning, but it can be hard to get them used to the idea that working at home still means work.

You may find that people will continue to call and drop in just as they always have, regardless of whether you're working or not. They will assume you can just stop what you're doing and hang out with them since your job is at home, but we know this isn't the case!

Let your family and friends know from the beginning that you have “office hours” and you will not be available during certain times. They will get used to it eventually, but it's best to make it clear from the start and be firm but polite about it.

Also if you have small kids at home or can only work odd hours, don’t feel bad about adopting a split shift approach. Working early mornings, naptimes, and evenings might be what works best for you right now, and that’s totally OK.

8 – Schedule out your work days.
I have found that if I don't schedule the weekdays out, lots of times they slip away from me without much to show for them in regard to productivity.

The schedule I like to follow is not reality all the time because life just doesn't allow for an exact timeline. As we all know.

Still, having a basic structure of how things should go in your head and following that as often and as closely as possible will help you so much!

9 – Use time management apps.
There are a ton of great apps out now that will help you manage your time if you struggle with trying to make yourself do it. TeuxDeux is a good one. And Google Calendar is basically priceless if you're on the computer a lot and don't want to forget things you need to do.

While this is not exactly a “time management” app or site, I am pretty obsessed with Workflowy, and I use it to basically organize everything inside my head, including my daily to-do list.

You can use it to make lists, and then create sub-lists (endlessly) for every list and sub-list. I've been using it for years and have become very dependent on it.

Other great options to look into: Notion, Trello, Clockify, or even ChatGPT for help creating quick plans or schedules. I have a list here with some other great time management apps.

10 – Make a meal plan.
I admit I don't always do this either. Sometimes me and my teenagers just fend for ourselves, or I get DoorDash to just bring us something! But when I do make a meal plan, I'm amazed at how it simplifies things! And saves money on fast food.

Without a meal plan, I waste a lot of time in the evening just trying to figure out what's for supper. It's a lifesaver when I plan it out on Saturday or Sunday, write it down, and stick it on the fridge so when that time of day rolls around, I know what I'm doing.

Please don't beat yourself up and feel like a failure if you simply cannot always manage time efficiently. Realistically, no one can make it work all the time because life just gets in the way.

All you can do is make the effort, but know going in that you will never always be successful because life never follows a perfect timeline.

🌱 A Gentle Truth You Need to Hear
You will never manage time perfectly.
No one does.
Some days will flow.
Some days will fall apart.
That doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re human.
Progress comes from effort, not perfection.

💭 A Quiet Reflection
Working from home isn’t just about earning.
It’s about designing a life that works for you, one small habit at a time.

If even one of these shifts helps you reclaim a little focus or peace today—that’s a win worth celebrating 🤍

For this reasonA daily connection with a friend is not only an emotional necessity, it is also important for health. Busyness, distance or lack of time—it's all possible to sustain a relationship if you invest even a little time. A voice message, a GIF, or “What are you doing?”

This simple question is often the only sincere moment of the day. Real connection means being 'present' in each other's lives, and this small practice is ours every dayKeeps social bonds alive and human.

->It Makes Life Feel Warmer and More Meaningful

Friendship is not just a connection with a person, but an emotional contract with life. This little habit of talking to a friend every day reminds us—life is not just responsibility, it has colors, shades, touches!

Friends give us something that no amount of advice or self-improvement books can—genuine laughter, unabashedly. The courage to cry, and the moment to realize, “You are there, therefore I am okay!”

These relationships teach us to be grateful—how much someone's presence can change our day, even our entire mindset.

These everyday connections remind us that life is not just about survival, but also about finding meaning. That meaning comes when we participate in someone's feelings, take a place in someone's life, or allow someone to tell their inner story.

Life becomes alive, warm and meaningful through these heartfelt moments of relationships, connections and everyday life. So talking to a friend every day means not only to maintain the relationship, but to touch one's existence more deeply.

Prevention Is More Powerful Than Treatment:

Once the kidneys have completely failed, the only way to survive is dialysis or a kidney transplant. But the cost of this treatment is so high that even 10 percent of patients in this country can afford it can't.On the other hand, with a little awareness, early detection of the disease and treatment and healthy lifestyle can prevent up to 70 percent of this impairment.

In order to detect the disease in the early stage, it is necessary to know who is at risk of kidney disease first. Those who have diabetes, high blood pressure, hereditary kidney disease; Those who are smokers, drug addicts; Those who are overweight, those who have taken pain medication for a long time, recurrent kidney stones orPeople with inflammation of the urinary tract, those who had kidney disease in childhood, and even those over 40 years of age, are all at risk of kidney failure.

Kidney disease can be detected at an early stage with just two tests twice a year. The first is to check whether urine is passed or not, and the second is blood creatinine. It can be calculated from the creatinine report, how many percent of the kidneys are working or EGFR (a test for the level of kidney disease) score.

Be Aware. Stay Well. Live Longer:

The rate of kidney disease is high and the consequences of kidney failure are dire. If not treated, death is certain, and if treated again, there is a risk of financial destitution or bankruptcy. On the other hand, if we are aware, practice a healthy lifestyle, then in most cases we can prevent this deadly disease. So you should know about kidney disease, everyone should know,In return, you will get a healthy long life, the country will get a strong and healthy nation.

Beat the Heat & Glow Up: Your Guide to a Cool, Confident Summer Face ☀️

Excessive sweating of the face- this is now a common complaint in hot weather.
If your face has been feeling more like a waterfall than skin lately, you’re not alone. This hot weather has many of us dealing with extra glow—a little too much glow!

Understanding why it happens is the first step to feeling more comfortable. Here’s what dermatologists often point to:

🔍 Common Causes:

📍First of all, you need to know the causes of excessive sweating:

Dermatologists say facial hyperhidrosis can be caused by several reasons:

>Primary hyperhidrosis: which is caused by genetic or unknown causes.

>Secondary hyperhidrosis: any other medical condition (such as thyroid problems, diabetes, can be from stress/anxiety).

>Excessive Sebum production: Sometimes the skin is always sweaty due to the mixture of sweat and oil, resulting in a greasy feel.

📍What can I do if there is excessive sweating on the face:

>Proper Cleansing-
Oil and dirt build up with sweat can clog pores. So use oil control cleanser in weekly routine along with mild cleanser.
For example: salicylic based cleansers that are extra oilyVery effective in control.

>Using an alcohol-free toner –
The toner keeps the skin cool and tightens the pores, thereby reducing sweating. In this case, green tea toner is very effective

>Oil Free Moisturizer:

Sweat means oily skin!
But if the moisturizer is removed, the skin produces more oil. Therefore, in summer time, use an oil-free or gel-based light moisturizer.Hydration is essential.

>Using Mattifying Sunscreen –
Many times sweat increases in creamy sunscreen with heavy texture. Therefore choosing a matte finish or oil control sunscreen is the best decision.

>Carry blotting paper or tissue:
If you are outside, gently remove the sweat from your face with a tissue. But just press without rubbing.
Also, blotting sheets/loose powder will work well to control oil on the face.

>Stress& Diet Management:

Excess tension, excess caffeine, spicy food increase sweating.

So drink more water and reduce spicy food. Because, if the temperature inside the body is kept right, sweat is also reduced. Besides, breathing exercises will relax the autonomic nerves which helps in controlling sweating.

❤️ A Couple of Important Notes:
>If your skin type is oily, sweat and oil can be high together. In that case, maintain a regular skin care routineIt is very important to do.

>If your excessive sweating is a new problem, or night sweats, or accompanied by weight loss/low energy, it is best to see an endocrinologist for a hormone checkup.

Finding balance often starts with listening to our bodies—whether it’s our skin telling us it’s stressed, or our minds seeking a more sustainable pace.

If the idea of building a gentler, more self-directed way of living and earning resonates with you, I shared some personal reflections and quiet ideas on my blog. It’s not a blueprint, just one person’s journey toward more ease.

🌿 Money That Moves Quietly: 9 Passive Income Apps Working While You Live Your Life

There was a time when “making money” meant long hours, constant hustle, and very little breathing room. Lately, I’ve been exploring a different approach — one that feels lighter, calmer, and more intentional.

Passive income isn’t about getting rich overnight. It’s about setting small systems in motion and letting them work quietly in the background while you focus on living, learning, resting, or creating.
If you’ve ever wondered how people earn without being glued to a screen all day, these apps are a gentle place to start.

Below are 9 passive income apps that many people use to earn steadily — without burnout, pressure, or complicated setups.

1. Honeygain
Have you ever thought about making money without doing anything? With Honeygain, you can. All you have to do is share your unused internet connection.

The app runs quietly in the background and connects to Honeygain’s partners who need data for things like delivering content, web scraping, and research. They use your internet to gather this data, and you earn passive income in return.

Once installed, Honeygain runs quietly in the background without needing your attention. All you need is a steady internet connection to start earning right away. The more devices you connect, the more you can earn.

2. Rakuten
If you love shopping, why not get paid for it? Rakuten, previously called Ebates, is a cashback app that lets you earn money when you shop online at your favorite stores. It’s a simple way to make extra cash while doing something you already do: shopping.

Whether you’re buying clothes, electronics, groceries, or booking travel, Rakuten gives you cashback on qualifying purchases—without any extra effort.

All you have to do is sign up for Rakuten, browse your favorite stores on the app or website, and shop like normal. Your cashback will be added to your Rakuten account, and you can cash out once you’ve earned enough.

3. Foap
Do you enjoy taking pictures? Whether it’s nature, portraits, or just everyday moments, Foap is an app where you can sell your photos and make money whenever someone buys one. The best part? You don’t need to be a professional photographer to join.

When you sign up for Foap, you can upload your photos to the platform. Businesses, marketers, and individuals can buy them if they need high-quality images. You’ll earn a 50% commission on each sale, so if you have a great photo, you can keep making money from it even after you take it.

4. InboxDollars
InboxDollars is a simple app that helps you make extra money by doing things you already do online, like reading emails, taking surveys, watching videos, and playing games. It’s a good choice if you want to earn some cash without spending too much time or effort.

When you sign up, InboxDollars will pay you to complete simple tasks. You can earn money by reading paid emails and taking surveys. Watching videos or playing games gives you steady earnings over time.

You can also get cashback when you shop through their partner stores.

5. Airbnb
If you have a spare room, vacation home, or an empty guest space, Airbnb is a great way to make extra money. It lets you rent out your space to travelers, so you can earn income without having to rent it long-term.

Whether someone needs a weekend stay or a month-long home, Airbnb helps you connect with guests from around the world.

Once your listing is live, Airbnb handles most of the details, like bookings, payments, and customer support. You can set your own prices, availability, and house rules to match your needs. You can also rent out your space part-time, earning money when you’re not using it or when you’re on vacation.

6. Acorns
Acorns is an easy-to-use app designed to help anyone start investing, even if you’ve never invested before. It works by rounding up your everyday purchases to the nearest dollar and automatically investing the spare change.

For example, if you buy a coffee for $3.50, Acorns will round it up to $4.00 and invest the extra 50 cents.

These small amounts add up over time and help you build wealth without having to think about it.

Whether you’re paying for groceries, dining out, or making online purchases, Acorns takes care of the investing for you, making it simple and hassle-free. It’s a great way to begin investing with little effort and no experience needed.

7. Turo
Do you have a car sitting in your driveway that you don’t use much? With Turo, you can rent it out to people nearby and make extra money. Think of it like Airbnb, but for cars. You decide how much to charge and choose when your car is available—whether it’s just a few days a month or every weekend.

How much you can earn depends on your car, where you live, and how often it’s rented. You could make anywhere from $500 to over $1,500 a month.

If you don’t drive every day or have a second car, Turo lets you turn your unused vehicle into extra income. Once someone rents it, there’s little effort on your part. It’s a great option for you and for travelers who want an easy car rental alternative!

8. Swagbucks
Swagbucks is a popular app that helps you make passive income. You can earn Swagbucks (SB) by shopping online, watching videos, taking surveys, or even searching the web. You can then exchange your SB for gift cards, PayPal cash, or other rewards.

Swagbucks is a great way to make passive income because you can earn money while doing things you already do online. It’s not completely “hands-off” since you’ll need to do some tasks, but the app gives you many ways to earn, making it easy to maximize your income with little effort.

9. Shutterstock Contributor
If you’re good at photography or videography, Shutterstock Contributor lets you make money from your creative work. Whether you’re taking photos of landscapes, recording events, or shooting unique videos, you can upload your content to Shutterstock and earn money whenever someone buys it.

This app is a great way to make money from your creative hobbies and earn income over time. Once you upload your images or videos, they can keep making money for you as people around the world buy them.

How to Get Started:

Sign up for a Contributor account on Shutterstock.

Upload your best photos and videos, ensuring they meet the platform’s quality standards.

Add relevant keywords and tags to help people find your content.

Earn royalties each time someone purchases your media.

Selling stock photos and videos is great because people can buy your work over and over again. This means you can earn money even after you’ve uploaded it. Whether you’re taking photos on weekends or filming in your free time, Shutterstock Contributor lets you turn your creativity into a steady income.

*🌿 Final Thoughts
Passive income isn’t about rushing. It’s about choosing systems that align with your lifestyle — and letting consistency do the heavy lifting.
Whether it’s investing spare change, renting unused assets, or monetizing creativity, these apps offer gentle ways to earn without pressure.
Start with one. Let it settle. Then build from there.

☕ A Quiet Note for the Soul:

None of these will replace a full income overnight—and that’s not the point. The beauty is in the approach: building small, sustainable flows of income that respect your time and energy.

If you’re also looking to step away from the burnout cycle and toward a slower, more self-directed way of earning, I dove deeper into this mindset (and a few more gentle income ideas) here:

The Tiny Book That Quietly Changed Everything.

Ever felt stuck in a loop? You know, where you set a big goal, start strong, but then... life happens? You're not lacking willpower. You might just be using the wrong system.

For years, I chased goals. Then I read “Atomic Habits” and learned to build systems. This isn’t just another productivity book. It’s a paradigm shift.

James Clear masterfully blends stories from Olympic athletes and leading artists with neuroscience and psychology into a simple, actionable framework. It’s about identity-based change: you don’t achieve a goal to become a new person; you build the habits of that person, one tiny step at a time.

The most powerful takeaway for me? “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”

If you’re looking to:

• Make progress even when motivation is gone

• Design an environment that makes success inevitable

• Finally break that stubborn bad habit

• Understand why you do what you do

…then this book is the manual. With over 25 million copies sold and translated into 60+ languages, it’s clear this wisdom resonates globally.

It’s more than a book; it’s a toolkit for a better life. I find myself returning to its pages whenever I need a reset.

The "Invisible" Job Market: How I’m Finding Legit Remote Work in 2026 🏠💻

A step-by-step guide for building real income from anywhere

Remote work isn’t a trend anymore — it’s a lifestyle shift.

In 2026, more people than ever are earning online, learning new skills, and building flexible careers without being tied to an office, a commute, or even a specific location.

But here’s the honest truth:

Finding legit remote work isn’t about luck — it’s about knowing where to look and how to search smartly.

This guide breaks everything down clearly, calmly, and realistically — no hype, no shortcuts, just practical steps that actually work.

My three favorite searchable job boards are FlexJobs, LinkedIn, and Indeed.

Search Terms To Try

Obviously, “work from home” is a great search term to use, but it's not the only one. Not every company uses that exact phrase to describe their home-based jobs! Here is a big list of many search terms you should use to ensure you find as many work from home jobs as possible. And remember, type these all inside of quotations!

“work from home”

“work at home”

“work remotely”

“home-based”

“home based”

“virtual”

“remote”

“remote location”

“telecommuting”

“telecommute”

“work from anywhere”

“location: anywhere” (good to use on Adhuntr since they have a specific location field)

“location: remote”

“freelance” – (not all freelance jobs are work from home, but many are so it's worth checking)

“work from home” + “freelance”

“virtual office”

“this is a remote position”

“working remotely from home”

“working from home”

“working at home”

“work offsite”

“offsite position”

“work may be done from home”

“work can be done from home”

These terms should get you off to a good start. Obviously you may not have time to go through each term (I know I don't). But just experiment with the terms and see which ones tend to give you the best results and you'll find you have some favorite, go-to search terms.

Finding Remote Jobs Using LinkedIn:

LinkedIn isn’t just for corporate types or people in fancy offices. It’s also one of the best places to spot remote jobs.

Start by creating a profile (or updating the one you have). Make sure you add “Open to Work” and include “remote” in the types of jobs you're looking for.

When you search, use the “Jobs” tab and type in keywords like “remote” or “work from home” or any of the options I shared above!

You can even set up alerts so LinkedIn emails you new listings. And don’t forget to connect with people who already work remotely — sometimes, they share openings before they’re posted publicly.

Finding Remote Jobs Using Indeed:

Indeed is another huge job board where tons of companies post remote openings. On the homepage, type the kind of job you want in the “What” box or use any of the keywords I shared, and put “remote” in the “Where” box.

For example, you could search “customer service” and “remote” to see current listings. Make sure you also check the company reviews on Indeed to get a sense of how they treat their employees.

Reputable Blogs & Websites For Remote Jobs

Not sure where to start your search? These trustworthy websites regularly post legit work at home jobs:

The Work at Home Woman

Rat Race Rebellion

Remote OK

We Work Remotely

These sites are well-known and focus on real opportunities. You can browse by category and see what fits your skills.

Scam Avoidance Tips:

Sadly, not every work at home opportunity is the real deal.

Watch out for common scams like envelope stuffing, home assembly kits, or any job that promises huge pay for little effort.

A good rule of thumb is never pay to get a job, unless it’s for something like a background check, which some legit companies do require.

Trust your gut. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I have a work at home scam checklist for you here to help you narrow things done if you're just not sure about something.

In Conclusion:

Finding a remote job isn’t always easy, but with the right tools and a smart approach, you’ll boost your chances.

Stay positive, keep applying, and don’t be afraid to reach out to people in the remote work world.

🌱 Final Thoughts: Build Slowly, Build Smart

Finding remote work takes patience — but it does work when approached thoughtfully.

Stay consistent. Keep refining your searches. Learn from each application.

Progress compounds quietly.

No hype. No false promises.

Just honest ways to earn, grow skills, and build confidence — step by step.

💡 A gentle reminder for teens, parents, and beginners:

Online income is rarely instant, but consistency adds up. Combining a few realistic options while avoiding scams can create meaningful results over time.

And once you’re 18, even more doors begin to open.

☕ A Quiet Note, If You’re Curious

Lately, I’ve been exploring calm, pressure-free ways to create income — ideas that fit real life instead of burning people out.

If you’re interested in slow, organic income paths you can explore at your own pace, I’ve gathered them in one simple place:

44 Ways to Turn "Screen Time" into "Seed Money" 💸

More and more teens (and parents) are asking the same question lately: Is it really possible to earn money online at a young age?

The answer is yes—and in more ways than most people realize.

Whether you’re a teen looking for extra income, or a parent helping your child build independence, online work can be a powerful starting point. Especially when transportation, tight schedules, or school commitments make traditional part-time jobs difficult.

This guide brings together 44 realistic, beginner-friendly ways teens can earn online—from flexible gigs to skill-based opportunities that can grow over time.

Here’s what makes these ideas special:
🌱 Flexible around school and life
🌱 Low-pressure ways to earn extra money
🌱 Opportunities to build real-world skills early
🌱 Many options open to teens as young as 13
Some teens earn pocket money. Others discover skills that turn into long-term income paths.
You’ll find ideas like:

Deliver Groceries With Instacart:
If you're at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license, insurance, and a smartphone, you can get paid to deliver groceries to other people with Instacart. A lot of people are doing this now and loving it.

Instacart pays you once a week, and some shoppers are able to earn as much as $20 or more hourly. This is what is advertised, but please be mindful most people average much less than that.

Deliver Restaurant Orders & More For DoorDash:
If you're at least 18 years old, you can get paid to deliver food orders for DoorDash in most major locations across the US.

Most people who work for DoorDash bring in at least $10 hourly, plus it is very flexible so you can do this when you have time — working it around school hours or any other job you may have.

You do need to be eligible to work in the United States and have access to an Android or iPhone.

Reward Sites:
Reward sites are similar in a way to survey sites because it's something you can do here and there to build up cash and rewards over time.

These sites usually have a mix of different things you can do to earn — search the web, redeem offers, answer surveys, watch videos, and several other things. Most of them also pay in points.

The more you participate, the more you can build up. The points can usually be redeemed for not only Paypal cash but also various merchandise and Amazon gift codes.

Here is a list of some of the more popular reward sites you can begin using as a teen. And remember, this one is just extra cash.

Survey Panels:
Teens can take online surveys for money for different online survey panels. Many, many online survey panels do permit you to sign up as long as you are at least 13 years old. Note you must have your parents permission to complete surveys if you're under 17.

Like most of the other online jobs for teens, this is money that is slow to build up. But the more survey panels you are a member of, the more survey invitations you should receive.

Doing surveys here and there as you receive them can certainly add up to extra money in a month's time. Below are some of the better panels out there that allow users to sign up at as young as 13.

As a quick tip, I'd recommend creating an extra email account before you start registering with all these panels. Because you will get a lot of emails! Most of these sites pay you in cash or gift cards.

Also, don't just check your emails for survey invitations. Actually log on to these sites periodically just to see if any of them have survey invitations for you sitting in your dashboard. That way you don't miss out on anything.

Pet Sit With Rover:
If you're at least 18, you can register yourself on Rover.com and get pet-sitting jobs in your area. Most people who are sitters on Rover say their first job comes within a few weeks or less after getting signed up.

While Rover focuses on dog-sitting, you can get gigs taking care of cats and other animals as well. Pay is fast — once your service is complete, you can withdraw your earnings from your account.

This could be a great side hustle if you love pets!

Review Calls For Humanatic:
Humanatic is a simple online job for teens (17 & up) where you basically just listen to calls and then categorize them.

Again, you won't break the bank with this one, but it's something easy you could do in your spare time.

Direct Sales Opportunities:
There are a handful of direct sales opportunities that are open to teenagers as well as adults.

Keep in mind that while these opportunities make it possible for you to earn money as a teen, there is still an upfront investment to start. These companies typically require you to purchase a starter kit of items to help grow your business.

However, you will begin earning commission on your sales after that.

Stella & Dot – Jewelry.
NuSkin – Skincare.
Gel Moment – Skin care, nails, etc.
Perfectly Posh – Skincare.

Slice the Pie:
Slice the Pie is a website you can use to rate and review music.

You can sign up at 13 and older. Simply listen to a clip of a song — most of the time by a newer artist — and give it a 1 to 10 rating along with four or five sentences of feedback explaining what you liked or didn't like about the music clip.

Pay for each music clip you rate varies. Sometimes I get as much as .18 cents and then other times it's down to 7 cents.

Slice the Pie occasionally has special promotions where you can earn more for rating songs. They pay out every Tuesday and Friday with Paypal. You must have at least $10 to request your money.

Fiverr:
Fiverr is a huge marketplace where people post services they are willing to provide for $5. Teens are allowed to sign up as freelancers and post services here. Fiverr actually has potential to turn into more than just side money, so that makes it one of the best online jobs for teens.

Many people do make their living from Fiverr, earning thousands of dollars per week.

If you're wondering what services to offer, just take a look at what other people are offering and see if you can do something similar.

Fiverr pays you to your Paypal account and after all the fees, you will receive almost $4 for every $5 order you receive and complete.

Sell on Etsy:
Etsy is an online marketplace for all things craft, handmade, and vintage. You can open up a shop on Etsy with your parent's consent if you are under the age of 18. However, your parent or guardian will have to additionally be the one who manages your shop.

Start Your Own Online Services Business:
Teens with special skills can absolutely start their own side gigs, market themselves, and earn money! If you are a teen and you are good at any of the following, consider getting a business going, setting your own rates, and earning:

Start a T-shirt business
Tutoring
Selling things online
Babysitting
Pet sitting
Video editing
Graphic design
Freelance writing
Proofreader
Research
Start a blog
Social media management

And pretty much anything else you can think of that others may not know how to do and would pay to have done!

U-Haul:
U-Haul is a well-known company (I'm sure you've heard of them) that occasionally has work from home customer service representative jobs available. This is definitely one of the real online jobs for teens, and not an extra money gig like most of what is listed here.

The majority of the work from home customer service jobs I come across require that applicants be at least 18 years old, but U-Haul hires workers that are as young as 16!

YouTube – 13 & Up:
YouTube is an option if you like the idea of making videos and posting them online. Many teens have been successful with this. If you have a YouTube channel, you will typically earn from the ad revenue, so the more your videos are seen, the more you can earn.

Studypool:
This is an online tutoring site that lets you sign up to offer homework help in virtually any subject.

You do not need to be a professional and you can sign up at 18 years old. So if you are a teen or know a teen that has vast knowledge in a subject that could be taught to others online, this might be a good idea.

Care.com:
You can sign up on Care.com as a caregiver with your parent or guardian's permission. This means that you can create a profile offering your services for different types of care giving, including babysitting, pet care, and more.

Other Tips For Teens & Young Adults Earning Money Online:
As you can see, teens can make money online. While most of these opportunities aren't going to be a full-time income for anyone, they could come in handy for spending money, gas money, food money, or anything else you may need if you are still living at home.

And if you happen to be 18 already, start applying for actual work at home jobs. There are many companies who will hire teenagers as long as they are 18 years old!

Combine the Above Jobs For Teens:
It's pretty obvious that most of the online jobs for teens and side earners don't typically pay all that well. I would suggest combining these to maximize your overall earnings. Do as many as you have time for.

Watch Out For Scams:
When you're searching for online jobs for teens, be mindful that internet scams are everywhere. Try to screen what your teen is doing online to make sure they aren't getting taken in by one of the many scams floating around. Stay as involved as you can.

Set Up a Bank Account To Get Paid:
Most companies like to pay via direct deposit or Paypal. You can't get a Paypal if you are under 18, but you may be able to get your own bank account set up under your parent's account (just depending on the bank).

No hype. No shortcuts. Just honest ways to start earning, learning responsibility, and building confidence early.

💡 A gentle reminder for teens and parents alike: Online income is rarely instant, but consistency adds up. Combining a few options, staying patient, and avoiding scams can make a real difference over time.

And if you’re already 18, even more doors open—especially in legitimate work-from-home roles.
