Murshid Quli Khan was born in the Hindu family in 1660. His name was Surya Narayan Mishra. Haji Shafi Ispahani, a high -ranking officer of the Mughal court, purchased Murshid Quli Khan as a slave. There Murshid Quli Khan converted to Islam and named him Mirza Hadi. He was educated near Haji Shafi. Later he is Dewan of Vidarbha province (now the eastern part of Maharashtra, India)Haji Abdullah took a job under Qurayshi. During this time, Murshid Quli Khan caught the attention of Aurangzeb, because of the special skills of revenue collection.
In 1700, Aurangzeb changed Murshid Quli Khan's name from Mirza Hadi and kept Kartalab Khan and appointed as the governor of Bengal. At that time Subedar of Bengal was Azim-Us-Shan, son of the first Bahadur Shah. Azim Us Shan was not satisfied with the appointment of Murshid Quli Khan. HeHe wanted to use the power of Delhi to capture the power of Bengal. But Murshid Quli Khan came to Jahangirnagar, present -day Dhaka and brought the Mughal employees, including the revenue officers, which angered Azimushan.

Yet Murshid Quli Khan felt himself insecure in Dhaka and the Suba office of Bengal from Dhaka.Maksudabad, which was transferred to the present Murshidabad, without the permission of Azimushan. Among the historians, Murshid Quli Khan was able to do this easily because Aurangzeb had the support. In 1702, Murshid Quli Khan visited Bijapur, met Arangzeb and paid the revenue of Bengal. Aurangzeb was pleased with him and gave him the title of Murshid Quli and changed the name of Maqsoodabad and allowed him to keep Murshidabad.
One year after hisIn 1703, Arangzeb shifted Azimushan to Bihar and made Farruksia a Subadar of Bengal. Farruksia's name was only Subedar of Bengal. At this time, Murshid Qul Khan became the sole ruler of Bengal. In 1704, Murshid Quli Khan issued the first coin.
Arangzeb died in 1707 when power changed. Delhi occupied his son Azam Shah but Azam Shah Arangzeb's other son Moazzem (first BahadurShah) When he was defeated, the first Bahadur Shah became the Mughal emperor.
Azimushan influenced his father Bahadur Shah first to retaliate, and Murshid Quli Khan removed the Deccan from Bengal in 1708.
But in 1710, Azimushan brought Murshid Quli Khan back to Bengal for the support of the Delhi's Abhijati. Although it does not make any profit. Because in 1712 his father first BahadurWhen Shah died, the Mughal emperor became Jahandar Shah. Jahandar Shah was in power for a short time. After the death of Jahandar Shah in 19713, Subedar Farruksia of Bengal came to power. During this time, Emperor Farruksia remained the nominal Mughal emperor, the real power goes away in the hands of the high -ranking officials of the court.In the hands of the brothers. At this time the chaotic environment was created in the Mughal Empire.
In 1717, Murshid Quli Khan declared himself as the Nawab of Bengal and transferred from Dhaka to Murshidabad in 1717. It was then that Murshid Quli Khan became the first independent Nawab of Bengal. Bangla Bihar continued to rule as the sole ruler of Orissa. He is independent of Bengal until the death of 1717 to 1727Was the Nawab.
Infrastructure:
Murshid Quli Khan built a palace in the Dighriya area, a Dewan Khana, built a serial and mosque for foreign tourists. In 1720 he built mint. In 1724 he built the Katra Mosque where he was buried under the stairs as per his wish!
