The First Razakar Of Bangladesh!


 

Context: Rabindranath Tagore, the first king of Bangladesh and the national anthem of Bangladesh!

1) In 1905, the man who took to the streets wearing a dhoti was Sri Sri Rabindranath Tagore. As a result of the partition of Bengal, Calcutta lost its authority as the capital and Dhaka was made the capital of East Bengal, today's Bangladesh and Assam.

The elites of Bengal led by Girish Chandra Banerjee, Rasbihari Ghosh and even Calcutta University Vice Chancellor Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee gave 18 memorandums to Lord Hardinge against the establishment of Dhaka University and met Baralat to prevent the establishment of Dhaka University.
