Meet Hasan al-Basri 🌿
Hasan Basri Rah.. A prominent Tabe'i accompanied by several of the Prophet's companions. Born in Medina but later moved to Basra. He looked black. But he was the leader of his time in knowledge and practice.
He was unique in old age. There was no discrepancy between words and deeds. He was a great hero. He did not care to tell the truth. Like Hajjaz bin Yusuf, he was outspoken.
After his birth, he was taken to Khalifatul Muslimeen Umar Ibnul Khattabis going He prayed to him and said - 'O Allah! Make this boy a faqih of the deen and make him beloved among the people.' Khalifa's prayer was also accepted.
Hajjaz bin Yusuf Saqafi. A ruler of Iraq appointed by the Umayyad Caliphate. Tyranny, transgression and tyranny started. Hasan Basri joined. He was also one of the few people who opposed Hajjaj's transgression. Strongly his among the peopleAparkam announced. And he did not hesitate to tell the truth to his face.
Hajjaz built a palace. Royal splendor. When he issues the Shahi elan among the people—let them pray for the longevity and blessings of his palace. People came to the palace as soon as they heard Shahi Elan.
Hassan Basri did not want to miss this golden opportunity to gather people. He went out to meet them. Advise themto give To convince them. To make them indifferent to worldly wealth. Above all to arouse their interest in supernatural wealth.
People circling Hajjaj's skyscraper palace. Enjoying the beauty of the palace. The splendor of the palace is breathtaking. Then Hasan Basri stood up to address the people. The gist of the speech is—
“If we are the worst of peopleLook at the palaces that were built, but see—Pharaoh built a palace that was stronger, stronger, and taller than this. Yet Allah destroyed Pharaoh and left his towering palace in ruins. If only Hajjaj understood—the inhabitants of the sky dislike him and the inhabitants of the earth take advice from him!”
When Hajjaz entered his meeting room the next day, he was bursting with anger.He said to his councilors - 'May you be destroyed, be away. A slave of Basra stood up and said whatever he wanted in front of you, and there was no one among you who resisted him or disapproved of his words! By Allah, O group of cowards, I will surely make you drink his blood.'
Hajjaz took fire idol. He is the kin of the sword and the wide leather bed on which human heads are beheadedordered It was brought as ordered by Hajjaj.
The executioner was called. The executioner came as soon as he heard the call. Hajjaz Hasan sent some soldiers to capture Basri. Shortly afterwards Hasan Basri arrived at Hajjaj's court. But as soon as Hasan Basri entered the court, everyone's heart began to tremble!
When Hasan Basri saw the sword, the roper and the executioner present, he moved his lips slightly. Right after thatHe went towards Hajjaj. But even then, the greatness of a believer, the self-respect of a Muslim and the calmness of God are present in him.
Hajjaz got angry seeing this position of Hasan Basri. His face turned pale with fear. Somehow he started saying - 'Abu Saeed, come here. Sit here!'
After saying this, he started making Hasan Basri a place to sit. People are surprised to see this condition of Hajjaj, shocked! they areHe started looking at him with wide eyes. Hasan Basri took the seat. Hajjaz also sat down.
Hajjaz looked at Hasan Basri. He started asking about some religious matters. Hasan Basri also continued to answer each of his questions with determination, in magical language and in the light of profound wisdom. After hearing the answer, Hajjaz said - 'O Abu Said! You are the emperor of the wise!'
Hajjaz rushed to get the perfume. When perfume is broughtHasan Basri's beard with his own hands and respectfully said goodbye.
Hasan Basri left the palace of Hajjaj. The gatekeeper of the palace ran after him. Addressing him, he said,
- O Abu Said! He called you to do the opposite of what Hajjaj had done to you. I noticed, as you advanced, that you moved both lips and mumbled something. Tell me, youWhat were you reading?'
- 'O guardian of my happiness! Oh, the harbinger of my danger! You make His wrath cool and peaceful for me, as you made the fire cool and peaceful for your beloved Hazrat Ibrahim A.!
