Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach to fuel fat-burning and boost energy...
ππ§π π«πππ’ππ§ππ¬:
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 cucumber, thinly sliced
1-2 inches of fresh ginger root, thinly sliced
2 liters of water
Ice cubes (optional)
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
ππ«ππ©ππ«πππ’π¨π§:
1. Begin by thoroughly washing the cucumber, lemon, and ginger under cold running water. No need to peel the cucumber if it’s organic; otherwise, you can peel it.
2. Cut the cucumber and lemon into thin slices. The thin slices allow for a better infusion of flavors.
3. Slice 1-2 inches of fresh ginger root into thin rounds or julienne it for a more intense ginger flavor.
4. In a large pitcher or container, combine the cucumber slices, lemon slices and ginger.
If you prefer your detox water cold, add ice cubes to the pitcher.
5. Pour in the 2 liters of water, making sure the cucumber, lemon, and ginger are fully immersed.
6. Gently stir the mixture to begin the infusion process. You can also use a muddler to lightly crush the cucumber, lemon, and ginger, releasing their flavors.
7. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the detox water for at least 2-4 hours or, even better, overnight. Allowing the ingredients to steep overnight enhances the flavor.
8. Before serving, give the detox water a gentle stir to redistribute the flavors.
9. Optionally, garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint leaves for a refreshing and aromatic touch.
