But before entering the cave they made a prayer —
رَبَّنَا عتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا
Pronunciation: Rabbana Atina Milladunka rahmatan wa hayyilana min amrina rashada.
"O our Lord, grant us mercy from You and guide our actions to the right path."
(Surah Kahf: 10)
This dua asks for two things — mercy and rashad (right guidance).
The word "Rashad" is very important — it means right path, right decision, right direction.
What did God do? He kept them asleep for many years. After waking up, the world has changed. they are Safe with faith.

Two people,one Wealthy — large gardens, crops, wealth. Another is poor — but a believer.
The rich man boasted — "These things will never end. I am the greatest."
The poor fellow warned him — it is a gift from God. don't be proud Rather say—
مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Pronunciation: Masha Allahu La Quwata Illa Billah.
"Allah has done what He willed. There is no power but Allah."
(Surah Kahf: 39)
The rich man didn't listen. Then? all one daythe end Garden destroyed. All dried up. Waving his hands, he said — "Oh, that I had not associated anyone with my Lord!"

🌊The Words of Prophet Musa (AS): When Beginning a Difficult Journey
Musa (a.s.) wanted to go on a journey with Khizr (a.s.). Khizir (a.s.) said — "You cannot be patient with me."
Musa (a.s.) said —
سَتَجِدُنِي إِن شَاءَ اللَّهُ صَابِرًا وَلَا أَعْصِي لَكَ أَمْرًا
Pronunciation: Sataziduni Insha Allahu Sabiran Wala Asi Laka Amra.
"You will find me patient inshallah and I will not disobey any of your orders."
(Surah Kahf: 69)
Note — Musa (as) did not say "I will be patient." He said, "Insha'Allah, I will be patient." Did not trust in himself - trusted in Allah.
But what happened on the trip? Musa (a.s.) could not be patient. He asked three times. Because outwardly the events seemed unfair.
At the end Khizir (a.s.) explained — andThen it was understood that behind what looked bad from the outside, there was mercy and wisdom.
📌When Should You Recite This?
Before:
Starting a new job
Launching a business
Pursuing higher education
Migrating to a new place

Zulcarnine. Allah gave him power, territory, ability, knowledge. He built a great wall to save people from the temptation of Yajuz-Majuj.
Such a big job. Such a great achievement. Such a big success.
But what did he say at the end?
قَالَ هَـٰذَا رَحْمَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّي
Pronunciation: Kala haza rahmatum mirthe rabbi
"He said — This is the mercy of my Lord."
(Surah Kahf: 98)
He did not claim credit for himself. Didn't say "I did." He said — "The mercy of my Lord."

"Hādhā Rahmatun Min Rabbī"
"This is a mercy from my Lord."
