I found an interesting fact in Surah Araf. I have heard since my childhood that the result of the hereafter is binary either Paradise or Hell, but through this Surah we are informed that it is not!
There is another location between heaven and hell, the location is called Araf!
.
According to the name of this place, this surah will be called "Araf" for those who have not done good enough to get a ticket to Paradise and have not done so bad thatTo go to hell is like the land of the middle classes!
These Arafasi will always hope that they will be upgraded to Jannah sometime.(1)
Apart from this Araf, Hashar is another important fact unknown to many of us
And that is Kantara!
.
We think "If you can somehow get past Pulsirat, survive!" Wrong! Paradise is not only if you can pass Pulsirat. If you can pass, the final exam will wait for the believers.
Hasher Judges will be judged twice a day. One time will be before passing Sirat and another time will be after passing Sirat.
Yes has heard correctly that the first judgment will be "the judgment of destroying the rights of the Creator" and the next judgment will be "the judgment of destroying the rights of the servant" and the name of the place where the judgment will take place is "Kantara".
Al-Qantarah is another short Surah after the Sirat. When the believers enter Jannah, they will enter through this Qantara. And the Lord will resolve the unsettled issues between the believers on this Qantara (2).
Imagine a person who is almost at the door of Paradise in Al-Qantarah and cannot enter it because all the good deeds he used to brag about end up being pulled into Hell, what would you call that unfortunate person?
My Messenger ﷺ, however, defined those unfortunates as "Muflis"."Muflis" means insolvent or bankrupt.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Do you know who is the real bankrupt?"
The Companions replied, "He who has neither money nor wealth, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" The Prophet ﷺ said “No!
The real bankrupt among my ummah is the person who will appear on the Day of Resurrection with many prayers, many fasts and many almsgiving but he will find that he has become bankrupt on that day.
Because in the lifetimeHe was abusing others, slandering others, misappropriating others' wealth, causing bloodshed and beating others. Today, all his good deeds have to be transferred to the victims.
Not only that if his good deeds cannot cover the compensation then their sins will also be imputed to him and he will be cast into Hell.”(3)
So I'm telling you One word will be seen for those who are suffering others with the speech of your mouth in addition to Namaz Roza Sadaka or embezzling the wealth of others through deeds!
🤍 This Isn’t Fear — It’s a Wake-Up Call
This reflection isn’t meant to scare you.
It’s meant to refine us.
It reminds us that:
Worship alone is not enough.
Character is worship.
Kindness is worship.
Guarding your tongue is worship.
Returning people’s rights is worship.
We may pray beautifully.
We may fast consistently.
But how do we speak?
How do we treat people when we’re angry?
How do we behave online when no one sees our face?
That is what waits at Qantarah.
🌿 A Gentle Reminder for Me & You
Let’s inspire each other toward small, meaningful changes:
Apologize when you’re wrong.
Clear debts.
Stop backbiting.
Forgive when you can.
Speak softly.
Protect hearts.
Because maybe… just maybe…
Our entrance into Jannah is waiting on a conversation we still need to have.
Good luck on your journey.
And if we meet again…
May it not be waiting on The Heights.
May it not be delayed at Qantarah.
May it be inside Jannah, by His Mercy. 🤍
Let’s strive to be people who lighten the load, not add to it. Let’s inspire each other to return to small, meaningful habits.
Your one healthy choice today—whether it’s patience with a colleague or a kind word to a stranger—might inspire someone el
se tomorrow. 🤍
