On this day of 1782 (December 16), Sylhet Muslims rebelled first in the subcontinent against the East India Company. The main conflicts of the rebellion were held on the Sylhet Shahi Eidgah and its surrounding hills. It was led by Pirzada and his two brothers Syed Muhammad Hadi and Syed Muhammad Mahdi.
